Agreed. I am convinced that people are turned off by Christianity because so many self proclaimed followers of Christ are to first to condemn others. That kind of judgement is not of Christ. It gives people the wrong idea of who Christ was, and why he was here. He didn’t come to condemn the world, but to save it. These so-called Christians need to go back and read Matthew 7, and find some humility. Just as the Pharisees were so quick to attack and condemn those that they saw as sinners, the modern Christian needs to resist such hypocrisy.

Today I am looking at Luke’s gospel chapter 6: 27-38………..WOW!! If you enjoy cooking like I do then you know how to measure brown sugar right? YOU PACK IT!! Luke quotes Jesus, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you….lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High…….Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful………Do not judge…..Do not condemn…..Forgive”…..now here is the promise……vs 38..…”Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, PRESSED DOWN!!!!shaken together and running over!”.........that’s how our God Blesses!!! Full Measure!!
The Kingdom that Jesus preached and lived was all about a glorious, uproarious, absurd generosity. Think of the best thing you can do for the worst person, and go ahead and do it. think of what you'd really like someone to do for you, and do it for them. Think of people to whom you are tempted to be nasty, and lavish generosity on them instead. These instructions have a fresh spring like quality. They are about new life bursting out energetically, like flowers growing through concrete and startling everyone with their color and vigor.
