I have been reading some of the comments on this page lately, and I’ve got to tell y’all:
I love Jesus, but His fan club is the worst. I’m embarrassed to be a member sometimes.
Christians, sit down for a second and hear me out.
We have got to do better than this.
The church is out there doing the absolute least when we’ve given the absolute most.
We take a liberating Gospel and treat it like a cage.
We worship a radically inclusive Christ, and we exclude so many from His table.
We throw “I’ll pray for you” out like it’s a petty insult instead of a kind blessing.
We puff out our chests like we’ve done something big, when the truth is we’ve done nothing at all.
Jesus did it. We simply believed.
And some of us need that reminder.
If the apostle Paul, who died for the Gospel, said “I am the least of these”....pretty sure you and I have NO high horse to ride.
And here’s another thing: don’t walk around wondering “what would Jesus do”.
Ask yourself what he DID.
He was kind, gentle, and servant hearted. He met a need before He ever spoke a sermon.
His life, His legacy, was LOVE.
Christians, we have no position from which to look down on others. Slide down from that saddle and humble yourself.
We are all a mess. We got saved. And that’s it.
We are better than literally no one.
Walk small and love big.
It should really be that simple.
Lord hammercy, we have got to do better.
Note from the author: Over the last few weeks, I have received many messages about church hurt, deconstruction, and healing. I know there is a need for these conversations to continue, and there is a desire (at least for some readers) to dig deeper into this healing process. For this reason, I am so excited to announce the first of my brand new webinar series, Cycle Breaking Church Hurt. I am leading this course with a very special guest, my friend Father Nathan Monk.
And you, dear reader, are invited to attend.
I have two pricing options for these tickets:
free & whatever you can afford

Excellent article MK! Keep doing what you do best. 🌟
Absolutely true. I love Jesus. I'm at church 5 days a week. I'm there for him. Not with the "clicks" it's about Jesus. All will be well🙏
