Nuns in catholic schools were allowed to physically abuse students. So that makes them sinners.

We are all sinners, by the Christian definition. But I do consider what they did to be sinful, as spanking is abusive to children

I was spanked as a child, though since my mother was out of control as she spanked me or my siblings, I felt we were beat. I was 13 when my mother slapped me across the face. That was the last time she hit me and it was also the time that I decided, when I had children, I would never hit them. I am proud to say I never have. Oh let me tell you there were times I wanted to smack them, but I gave myself timeouts, so that I wouldn’t. My “ kids “ are 44yrs and 39yrs. Both successful and happy.

We tell our children "use your words, not your hands". The we hit them.

We say it is wrong to kill, then we use the death penalty.....

You are SO right MK!! Love you!
