I am so happy for you and so jealous. My husband died when I was 72. I have been alone for 8 years. My heart melts when I see a happy couple regardless of their age. I love that your therapist said some healing needs to happen within a relationship. Enjoy every minute and kiss those sweet babies for me.

I am so very happy for you! When someone finds true love or a new baby is born, I have this flicker of a feeling that all is right in the world. Living in a country that has lost it's mind, I cherish that feeling more than ever. Thank you for sharing your life.

Love this one so much! As a divorced mom who found a relationship that healed my heart I understand everything you said. For a while I hated to admit that it took another Man because I was fiercely independent after my divorce- but every day He shows me what a true partnership is like and I'm so grateful.

As a long time parks professional I have been loving your advocacy for nature through your personal experiences. And I too hiked for my first date with my now husband. 🌳

Lovely! I found it neat that the place you chose to walk was Montesano. I'm sure you pulled that name apart and realized its meaning - Healthy Mountain - but I wanted to spell it out, just in case.

This resonates with me. I'm still hoping for my safe, happy home. But I AM hoping.

God is moving among His daughters. The ones who've been told a false narrative about who He is and how to live to please Him. He's liberating us!!!!

I feel this deep in my soul. Nature has played a large part of my healing process from divorce also. I'm happy you have found your happy. While reading your description of how Nature brought you back, I thought of the words of my favorite poem, "Breathe" by Becky Hemsley. Look it up. I have a feeling you'll "get it." xoxo https://southerncrossreview.org/141/hemsley-breathe.html

Whew; There's a lot to unpack in this story. Regardless of your "euphoria" over the space you now find yourself in, your writing shows your constant movement toward being grounded. I see this as a good thing and thouroughly enjoy the way you invite "this" reader to glimpse into your soul. It seems you have realized that you ARE ok.
